David Garber

Hi there, David here. I’m currently a DJ (more on that here) and copywriter at VaynerTalent, an entity of Gary Vaynerchuck’s agency powerhouse, VaynerMedia. What do we do at vTalent you ask? Good question! Our scrappy squad of creatives, strategists, and talent representation masterminds create, produce, and distribute premium content at scale for a shiny rolodex of emerging and established Talent personalities (celebrities, CEOs, musicians, artists, athletes, visionaries, etc.). We blueprint on how to build awareness and equity around their passions, stories, and skills in a way that elevates the demand and size of their future business opportunities while amplifying their digital brand. As a copywriter, I handle creative — writing articles, social media posts, show concepts, presentation decks, scripts, and lots more — for our kick-ass roster. I’ve worked on past and current clients like South African DJ superstar Black Coffee (1.8M followers), TV personality and former NFL quarterback Jesse Palmer (92k followers), viral motivational speaker and entrepreneur Tom Bilyeu (639k followers), and am involved behind-the-scenes in bringing client ideas to life across written formats and social media channels. Every day i’m tasked with thinking quick, deepening my understanding of multiples audiences, and producing content that breaks through the mold of our ever-changing digital universe.

Before starting at Vayner, I was an original member of the editorial team at THUMP (a VICE property), working for nearly four years to expose a vast audience to the best in nightlife culture and electronic music. I still dip into the freelance world to write about my favorite music for the likes of Resident Advisor, Mixmag, FACT, NEST HQ, Bandcamp, and more: working on everything from deeply reported investigative features to reviews and cultural op-eds. I love to mix my humor, curatorial skills, and adventurousness when it comes to telling stories of all shapes and sizes. Check out some highlights below. See you out there!
